Foundation of CEODEUX S.A. in Lintgen by August Theodor SCHMITZ for the
manufacturing of Carbon Dioxide for the Luxembourgian Market
1926 - 1947
First developments and fabrication of valves for industrial gases and fire
extinguishers
1947
Edgard SCHMITZ takes over the management of CEODEUX S.A.
1951 - 1963

Development of the first valves for cylinders and carburation valves for
Butane-Propane.
The production of CO2 was stopped and the company assured only the
distribution for the Luxembourgian market
1976
The 3rd generation takes over the management of the company, Jean-Claude SCHMITZ starts in the management of CEODEUX S.A. and 4 years
later takes over the management of the company
1977
Creation of the R&D department
1979
Start of a cooperation with the Nürnberg University
1980
First Export to the USA
1985
Start of the UHP Product line. First acquisition of companies. Introduction of a CAD system in the R&D department
1989
Creation of the ROTAREX S.A. and ROTAREX Group, consolidation of further acquired participations under the common brandname ROTAREX.
CREATION of CEODEUX Inc. in Pittsburgh/Pennsylvania.

unit in Mount Pleasant (near by Pittsburgh) for the manufacturing of valves and
equipment for industrial gases.
